Music
I enjoy singing in classical choirs, and I have composed music for varying ensembles of vocalists and instrumentalists. I am interested in different kinds of 'classical' music, ranging from the early Greek period to current times. I sometimes flirt with popular music and the double bass (or at least I used to). - Spring-Fall 2013: Lavinia Meijer and Attacca Ensemble: Philip Glass, parts from Akhnaten, Einstein on the Beach, Koyaanisqatsi, Hydrogen Jukebox. Mixed choir, harp, percussion. Direction: Fokko Oldenhuis.
- January 2013: de.fundo: abenddämmerung, a capella men's choir, pieces ranging from the 16th to the 21st century, including two world premieres, by Mathilde Wantenaar and Evelin Seppar. 16-voice men's choir. Direction: Lodewijk van der Ree.
- November 2012: Orpheus in Arezzo, short opera for women's choir, contralto, baritone and wind ensemble. World premiere in Rijksmuseum van Oudheden, Leiden.
